Regulation size tennis courts are 60' wide by 120' long. Ideally, you'll have additional space to allow for landscaping along the perimeter, and the site layout will be positioned along a north-south axis. Many great courts, however, have slight variations to these guidelines.
Many of our clients take advantage of custom design opportunities, such as lowered fencing along the "house side", 45º clipped corners, and a well thought-out viewing area. This attention to design detail can dramatically increase the beauty of your court. Tennis court fencing, an important aesthetic element, can also be customized. One popular choice is the use of redwood posts rather than galvanized metal to soften the visual impact created by the typical 10' high fence post.
